I am Sigit, originally from Indonesia, and I have resided in Singapore since 2016, which I now consider my second home.

My professional background centers on product design, with a leadership role as a product design lead/manager since 2019.

I've had a diverse and enriching journey in the field of product design and management, spanning various industries and locations.

My career started at Oracle, where I embarked on my professional journey after graduating from university. Working in a large organization with a focus on education, I gained invaluable experience to start my career as I laid its foundation.

Subsequently, I ventured into the startup realm, joining Ice House. Here, I learned how to manage a design team, facilitate design workshops, and present design solutions to clients, which were pivotal skills in my growth.

My journey continued at Bukalapak, where I gained my first taste of the startup world during its seed stage. This experience allowed me to contribute to the company's early growth and development in the e-commerce sector.

My next chapter took me to DBS Bank, where I served as AVP Product Design and was part of the pioneering UX team. We started from the ground up and laid the foundation for important projects, such as digital banking onboarding and improving the mobile app experience. Working in a small, tight-knit team within a corporate setting, I had the opportunity to be hands-on, from design to research, and played a crucial role in advocating for the importance of UX and proper product design processes.

At Vrbo, a global vacation rental marketplace under the Expedia umbrella, I had the privilege of serving as both a Lead Designer and Senior Design Manager. My team spanned various Asia Pacific locations, and together, we worked on projects covering stay experiences, global market acceleration, and growth initiatives. Our efforts led to the successful launch of unique platforms across the Asia Pacific region.

My most recent role was at Shopify, where I took on the position of Senior Product Designer within the International Growth team. My primary focus was on China and the Asia Pacific markets. Collaborating with a diverse team of professionals, including designers, product managers, engineers, and researchers across the region, we tailored Shopify to meet the specific needs of merchants in these markets.

Currently, I am at Tripadvisor, based in Singapore. Here, I am dedicated to working on Vacation Rentals products, including Holiday Lettings. It's a space I'm familiar with from my previous experience, and despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, I see tremendous potential and exciting opportunities in the travel industry.

In conclusion, my professional journey has been a dynamic and rewarding one, marked by continuous learning, diverse experiences, and a commitment to user-centric design principles and team leadership.

In real life, I have a small family, and now I am a father and a husband. I enjoy spending time with them when I am not at work. I am also a big fan of Lego and photography. I also like travel.
